It was with deep regret that we heard the news of Kieran (aka Nigel Joseph) passing away this week.   He will be missed greatly by all that knew him

Happy New Year folks.

2013 turned out to be a productive year for Must Die, we managed to squeeze in 11 incredible releases.  To thank you for all your support there is a 20% discount code for y’all below (for any orders over £10) that is active until March – additionally any orders placed using the discount code will include a free exclusive Bonus CD.  It’s looking like 2014 is going to be an equally exciting year;  we’ve got some great releases lined up already.  The first release of the year will be from ‘The Drop-Out Wives’, Blackpool’s dirtiest Rock N’ Roll band (watch the promo video here Voting for Gloss).  We’re also extremely happy to announce that we are going to release the highly anticipated  ‘A Piece of Master’ by ‘Maria Maze and Herb Diamante’ later in the year.

Latest Releases from Must Die Records:
Bad Suburban Nightmare – Highway 2
The lone drone guitarist returns with a 2nd release on Must Die.  Bad Suburban Nightmare’s instrumentals explore themes of loneliness and heartbreak.

Jaguar Min – Equine EP
Jaguar Min is the sound art project of Harrison Banfield.  Banfield fuses improvisation, ambient guitar, drone, sounf design, field recording, and experimental music.  The Equine EP is a collection of semi improvised guitar soundscapes.

Nava Spaitala – Noisenautics Vol 2
Nava Spatiala (The Spaceship) creates sounds which are based on noise/drone/ambient atmospheres, relying on apparently chaotic, unintentional and improvisational use of the spectrum.  Their musical approach is based on field-recordings, as well as on sound synthesis.

Tjong Pow – More like random objects or rocks
Tjong Pow consists of Laurens van der Wee (no-input mixer) and Eliad Wagner (modular synthesizer). Improvising electronic music whilst also borrowing principles of contemporary composition and sound arrangement.  All music was recorded during live performance with minimal mixing applied in Berlin 2013.

September 2013

Hey folks – August was a big month for Must Die, it saw our two biggest releases to date – Astral Social Club Metal Guru/Moonage Daydream 7″ and The Ceramic Hobs – Spirit World Circle Jerk LP – both of which have been receiving rave reviews.

September started with the release of ‘All your 8′s in Space’  from 8 bit dub master Naff Natty all the way from Mexico. Naff Natty’s reputation has been growing fast over the last year, with recently remixed tracks by Zion Train and Must Die’s own King Summat.  We’re feeling pretty lucky to be involved with his first  album release and looking forward to watching his career develop.  If you like your music bleepy, clicky  and 8 bit you’re going to love this one.
We’ve started to run low on stocks of the Ceramic Hobs – 33 Trapped Chilean Miners 7″ vinyl release and literally down to the last three on cream coloured vinyl.

15th August 2013

So, it appears we need to start with an apology. Due to a few technical hitches we are aware that some of you have missed the last couple of emails (…the joys you have missed…) – this has hopefully been rectified and you’ll all be pleased to learn normal service will resume, and we will continue to hassle you with news, releases, updates and exclusive downloads.

This month has already seen Must Die release the fantastic hand-numbered edition of 250 vinyl LPs by the Ceramic Hobs  – ‘Spirit World Circle Jerk’ – all dressed up in individually silkscreened cover prints of religious art created by Dr Adolf Steg.  It is already selling fast.

We will also see two more releases being made available this month: the splendid transparent blue double A side 7inch from Astral Social Club and the long awaited CDr from 8bit Dub master Naff Natty all the way from Mexico. We hope leak out some exclusive remixes from the latter soon.

September, isn’t set to be any quieter with more new releases and some special offers for the end of summer.  We’ve also confirmed an LP release for early next year – more will be revealed next month; but i will let you know we are real excited about this one.

Upcoming Releases: Bad Suburban Nightmare, Tjong Pow, Nava Spatiala and Jaguar Min
